PERFORMING ARTS
For those who love the performing arts, Door County offers too much to experience in one visit.

Peninsula Players has been delighting audiences since 1935 at its shoreline setting just south of Fish Creek. American Folklore Theatre offers musical theater under the stars in Peninsula State Park during the summer, and indoors with a popular fall series. From mid-July to mid-August, Door Shakespeare brings the Bard to life outdoors in the lush garden at Bjorklunden in Baileys Harbor. The Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek features headliner entertainment year-round. Third Avenue Playhouse offers year-round plays, concerts and performances by professionals and talented locals in the heart of downtown Sturgeon Bay. There are also great community theatre companies in the county including the Island Players founded in 1984 performing on Washington Island and Isadoora Theatre Company founded in 2001 performing countywide.

Birch Creek Music Performance Center wows summer audiences with everything from classical to swing in its acoustically-perfect barn east of Egg Harbor. Midsummer's Music presents an acclaimed series of first-rate concert chamber music in special, romantic settings each June. The Peninsula Music Festival draws musicians from America's finest orchestras to perform ten concerts over three weeks in August. And for a unique experience, try Sunset Concert Cruises offering dinner and live music on a narrated boat cruise.
