If you are coming to Door County for the Holiday weekend, there is pleanty to do.
Masterpieces, music and murals will be the order of the day as the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (SBVC) presents the 12th annual Fine Art Fair, May 29th and 30th from 10am-4pm each day at Sunset Park, located at the corner of Third Avenue and Florida Street.
The Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair is part of Door County’s month-long “Festival of Blossoms.” The juried art show features
original works of nearly 100 Wisconsin & midwest artists in a variety of media including sculpture, painting, jewelry, ceramics, fiber and photography. The artists this year include some that have been with the event each year as well as many first time exhibitors; all artwork is for sale.
Entertainment is also scheduled throughout both days, including children’s entertainer Randy Peterson, strolling entertainers Dan Ognavic, John Contratto and clown TC Hatter. Children’s activities will include painting one of the many 50 foot murals and designing one of a kind paper hats. A variety of food items and beverages will be available all weekend. The very popular “artwork raffle” will again be part of the activities and will feature a large selection of items from art fair participants.
If you are heading up north. Jacksonport has it’s Maiest Celebration this weekend.

Maifest is sponsored b y the Jacksonport Advancement Corporation. It includes a parade Saturday morning, Children’s activities, live music all day, horsepull, 10K run, softball tournament, fish boils, a variety of food and beverages and the Art Fair.
