One of our favorite Orchards to go to is Wood Orchard in Egg Harbor. Not only do 
they sell much of what they grow, they have a unique selection of gift items, a large variety of delicious specialty foods, and products from their in-house bakery.
For many years, McIntosh and Cortland apples were the main varieties in their business. Now, Honeycrisp is the apple that is attracting most of the attention of their fruit growing family as well as their customers!
Much of their future planning is centering around another new apple variety. That variety is SweeTango. As the name suggests, it offers a flavor of a sweet and tart sensation at the same time. SweeTango is a cross of Honeycrisp and Zestar. This apple is ready in early September. In case you are not sure if this is the apple for you, they have samples available so that you can try it before you buy it.
The market is open May thru October. Stop by and see what they have to offer. This will become a favorite of yours too!
